I had to take this picture when I saw the dead trunk at Capitola beach, not because it was beautiful which obviously it was, but that I felt a connection with it. It spoke to me of myself.
I have roots and I am strong; however, I am aware of the fact that I have already started on the process of aging (gracefully I might add) and will die, hopefully with a huge trunk left behind.
I have a colorful personality and am very fluid--always changing and constantly moving, like the watercolor paints I use in my paintings.
